This Mini DV camera has been amazing for me. I've never had any technical problems with it and the image is always exquisite. Exterior and interior daytime are amazing, and (like all digital cameras) low-light is OK, but easily brought back to life with minimal lighting. The only reason that I'm getting rid of this camera is because my company is upgrading to full-size DV cameras. Frankly, I would prefer to stick with this if that weren't the case.

Camera Includes:

I'm the second owner of this camera that I purchased from a production company in 2005 for $1,800. I've only shot about 150 hours total on this camera, and used only about 25 hours of playback for uploading. The battery still takes a full charge and lasts 8+ hours in record mode (about 5-6 hours in play mode). It's primarily been used for weddings, concerts, award ceremonies, and a couple short films. It has never been dropped and the lens is in immaculate condition because it's maintained regularly. Audio from the in-camera mic is usable, however I usually attached a boom mic (not included) to the mount on top. With the boom and a windscreen, this camera is a real attention-getter. The "still picture" function of this camera is a huge resource and time saver for testing color/lighting conditions and it can take HD still pictures. All in all, this is a great camera for independent film production or just for personal use.
